JULY 2009 (part one)

So much happened in July!

Let us start at the beginning....

Marcela comes to visit!!!

(Side note: I am about 6 months pregnant in the photo)

We spent 4th of July day in Carrboro. Mikael had a lot of fun playing and took quite a liking to children's size accordian.

At night, like true UNCers we went to see the fireworks at the Kenan Memorial Stadium.
(Which I highly recommend)

Mikael really enjoyed seeing the fireworks up close. If I remember correctly, this was the first time he got to see 4th of July fireworks, he usually ends up falling asleep before they begin.

We took a trip to the Mapleview Farms ice cream shop out in the country

We ate ice cream, Mikael played soccer with some kids, and watched the sunset.

.......

Then, we took a trip to Jordan Lake.

Mikael found a stick on the ground and transformed into The Grumpy Old Man.
We still have the stick and once in a while The Grumpy Old Man comes to visit.

We had so much fun with Marcee and can't wait til she comes again to visit! (Maybe in the autumn, when the leaves are at their brightest... hint, hint)
